void object() 9/18/12
Warehouse 508, Albuquerque, NM
In collaboration with The International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA2012) Albuquerque, NM void object() represents a collection of work by graduate students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago concerned with the disembodied nature of data. In a world of ubiquitous computing, information has been reduced to data, with little regard to its physical reality. void object() is an intentional return to physicality and experience, rendering the otherwise invisible into body and color, form and molecule.

Kinetic Sculpture in the Age of Open Source 9/6/12
Glass Curtain Gallery, Columbia College, Chicago, IL
Machinations: Kinetic Sculpture in the Age of Open Source is a glimpse into the ever-expanding spectrum of contemporary new media artists. The exhibit features works by a cast of tinkerers, hackers and inventors utilizing and re-contextualizing technologies to create works of art that are seemingly alive.

Plural Zone 9/4/12
School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL
This exhibition is a study of sculptural practices at SAIC highlighting traditional, experimental and the outermost art experiences produced in and around campus. Plural Zone considers conversation in contemporary sculptural such as architecture, performative objects, community engagement, sound installation, kinetics, site-specificity, abstraction, teleportation, ecology and the figure. With a combination of objects, performance and art happenings the work in this exhibition underlines the dynamic sculptural thread that runs through The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
